Trap Door Escape Room presents Live Streaming. Our Live Stream is a new, original service that lets you stream and play escape rooms from anywhere. You get access to a library of live stream and online point and click games. Trap Door Escape Stream is available on all devices, including cell phones, laptops, tablets, and gaming devices. This immersive programming lets you experience all of the thrills and excitement of an escape room from the comfort of your own home.
How Does Escape Stream Work?
Our Live Streaming games are booked like any of our games through our website. In other words, you pick a time to play the stream and when the time comes to play, you will receive a link to access the live stream. Our point and click games are available to play 24/7.
You're in Control
For our virtual games, an in-character guide leads you through the escape room, relying on you to direct them to interact with objects, solve the puzzles, and try combinations in the lock. That is to say, you basically control a live avatar, which means that you comment on the video, and they follow whatever you comment. Plus, you get to experience every thrill and surprise alongside your guide.
What Games Are Currently Available?
All of our in person escape rooms are available for Live Streaming: Bogeyman, The Greatest Freakshow, Witch Hunt, and Cure Z. However, more games are being added to our point and click game library every week, with National Security, Area 51, Find Me Alive, and Ratred’s Chosen available as of March 2021.
Live Stream Escape Rooms
Our virtual escape rooms are our featured immersive experiences at each of our locations. This means that they include a detailed set that mimics the setting of the story, with props and puzzles that accompany the story. They can last between one to two hours each, making them feel more like an interactive movie where you get to control the protagonist’s next move.
Bogeyman
One of the best experiences available for Live Streaming, as it plays out as an interactive horror thriller. It’s up to you to rescue missing children– but you soon find they’ve been kidnapped by the Bogeyman. You’ll follow along as the team travels to its realm. Full of jump scares and horrifying encounters with the Bogeyman, you’ll be screaming along with your guide.
The Greatest Freakshow
When a circus falls under the spell of an evil mermaid, you help your guide break her spell before it’s too late! This experience leads to interactions with other performers, such as Ulric, the Strongman; Slice, the sword-swallower; Scorch, the fire-breather; and more. You’ll search the oddities tents, solve your way through a funhouse, and roam the fairgrounds in this expansive adventure. Your guide takes you on an exciting journey through a circus, where you will have to get to the root of the mystery before time runs out!
Witch Hunt
In this creepy experience, you will have to find evidence that a woman accused of witchcraft is guilty before the sheriff lets her go. As Constables, your job is to search the home of Mrs. Cabot, looking for any physical, undeniable proof that she is, in fact, a witch. Follow the trail left behind by the servant she allegedly murdered, solving puzzles, and finding clues along the way. The whole town is at stake in this ominous drama if she goes free, so you are its only hope.
Cure Z
As reinforcements for SWAT team ZORO, your mission is simple: destroy a zombie virus bomb about to detonate and recreate the cure to the zombie virus. You will direct a field agent on the ground in the zombie blasted city, navigating them through the apocalyptic wasteland and through Quieten Pharmaceuticals. The whole world is relying on you to complete your objective, this thrilling adventure game keeping you on your toes the entire time.
Point and Click Games
New to Trap Door Escape Stream’s catalog are our point and click style games. Players are presented with a storyline and a set of puzzles to solve to achieve a goal. Using an inventory system, players find the proper codes move through the game with the help of in game audio clues. These games are available to play 24/7.
National Security
In this exciting story, as Secret Service agents, you have just discovered intel of a possible attack on the United Nations Convention. You will have to follow a trail of leads in order to find the bomb and defuse it in time.
Area 51
It’s a secret government facility for top Air Force Research, but the rumors of UFOs and aliens are just that, rumors, they’ve never seen anything to make them think it’s all real. Until now. A shredded document has accidentally been left in your department, or maybe it was planted there, you don’t know but from what you can tell, it speaks of Roswell and UFOs. Surely it can’t all be true, right?
Ratred's Chosen
Your friend has gone missing and the police have no leads. There are rumblings of a group named Ratred’s Chosen popping up in the area. Could thay have something to do with it? Could she have joined them?
Find Me Alive
The Architect is a psychopath who kidnaps victims and puts them in sadistic games for an online audience to solve. He tends to target government and authority figures, but so far, the police have been unable to trace him. Recently, however, they’ve had some luck. A raid on one of his suspected safe houses has turned up boxes and puzzles that could lead to his next victim. Can you find them alive?
Original Content
Trap Door Escape Stream is currently in the process of developing exclusive original content. Among these projects are revitalized concepts from our start in live streaming entertainment, such as Find Me and Buried Alive. Buried Alive, which is a story of a girl who wakes up inside of a coffin literally buried alive, is currently available to book with more games coming later this year.
Trap Door Escape Company
Trap Door Escape Room has 4 locations: 3180 Route 611 in Bartonsville, PA in the Poconos; 60 White St. in Red Bank, NJ; 34A Speedwell Ave. in Morristown, NJ: and 77 Wind Creek Blvd in Bethlehem, PA. The Red Bank location was the first of the 4 locations, opening in the fall of 2015. Morristown followed in the summer of 2017, and Bartonsville opened during the holiday season of 2018. Wind Creek is currently undergoing construction and will be opening in September 2022.
History
The idea came to Tone Purzycki back in 2011 after he wrote a screenplay that developed into a live-streaming game. The game revolved around an actor trapped in a situation and the audience had to solve puzzles to figure out where he was trapped. The “Find Me Event” had more than 1,000 people playing over the course of several hours. After the success of several other streaming events, the idea of an escape room was born.
Location
Each location has different rooms from which to choose. Our Morristown location is home to Day of the Dead, Witch Hunt, and The Greatest Freakshow. In Bartonsville, you’ll find Cure Z, F5 Tornado Escape, Fear the Bogeyman, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, We’re All Mad Here, and Prisoner Z. In Red Bank we currently have Everest – our first 2 story escape room. Ripper of London is also available at this location. Our pirate themed games will soon be open at Wind Creek.
