This New Bethlehem Escape Room room contains over 10,000 square feet of space for genuinely immersive games at Wind Creek. The new escape room will open at the Wind Creek Outlets as an exciting new part of the Wind Creek Resort and Casino.
The new Wind Creek Trap Door location offers everything! There will be 3 escape rooms plus puzzle experiences, and a rum bar-all. All of this is just minutes away from the Wind Creek Casino. Trap Door Escape coming to Bethlehem continues the tradition of fun days and fantastic nightlife.
Plot Your Course to Our New Bethlehem Escape Room
What’s a fantastic theme that can provide an unforgettable story and experience? Pirates! Originally these experiences were planned for smaller spaces in the Trap Door Escape Red Bank location. This larger space means more puzzles, more games, and much more of the fully immersive experience that Trap Door Escape is famous for. With a rich history of pirate tales to explore, Trap Door staff will be busy creating, planning, and building amazing escapes for players this Fall.
Ship Building 101
Although the early design work was already done, expanding to a much larger space is quite the undertaking. Building new escape rooms, orchestrating live performances, and creating a rum bar? While that is admittedly a lot of work, Trap Door is up for the challenge. Construction is full speed ahead for the fall opening at Wind Creek.
Tell the Landlubbers
While many people have tried escape rooms, there are others that have only heard the tales of escape rooms. Maybe they think they will be locked into a room (they won’t be) or they think an escape room is scary and closer to a haunted house (it’s not). Instead of being trapped in one room and trying to get out, Trap Door Escape locks players out. Out of what you may ask? Well, the clues. That is to say, the puzzle is all about unlocking new clues to advance deeper into our games.
Additionally, groups can enjoy being transported to another world for an hour by booking an escape room. Or, they can even accept the challenge of over 6 hours of escaping with the purchase of the Pirates Challenge Day Pass. Trap Door Escape in Bethlehem will offer the pirate life for first-time players and escape room enthusiasts.
Hire the Crew
Delivering the new Wind Creek Trap Door experience requires finding a group of Gamemasters ready to help transport guests to another world. A Gamemaster has to wear many hats including booking and greeting guests, and introducing each escape experience. But there’s more to it too! Gamemasters must also guide teams through the Trap Door pirate worlds with hints, clues, and sometimes a friendly nudge in the right direction. As a result, Trap Door Escape Room is Urgently Hiring new staff at all their locations.

Bethlehem: Tortuga Island, Curse of the Pirate’s Ship, Beast Caves, Cannibal Tribe, Plunder Lounge, VooDoo, Treasure Hunt, or play them all with the Day Pass.
Trap Door Escape in Bethlehem will be an exciting new experience among the great food, gaming, entertainment, and nightlife that already makes Wind Creek such a can’t miss destination.
Today's Escape Room Tip From James
For novice groups determined to escape a room in less than an hour- a tip from an escape room enthusiast. After listening to the Gamemasters opening and starting the room, sweep the room. Have your team move around the perimeter of the room at the start and briefly explain out loud what kind of locks/puzzles/codes that you see. Are there letters or notes left out in the open? Does anything stand out on artwork on the walls? If you find anything that might be a clue leave it in the area you found it. Often (but not always) the hints to open a lock or solve a puzzle are in a certain area where you will need them.

Trap Door Escape Company
Trap Door Escape Room has 4 locations: 3180 Route 611 in Bartonsville, PA in the Poconos; 60 White St. in Red Bank, NJ; 34A Speedwell Ave. in Morristown, NJ: and 77 Wind Creek Blvd in Bethlehem, PA. The Red Bank location was the first of the 4 locations, opening in the fall of 2015. Morristown followed in the summer of 2017, and Bartonsville opened during the holiday season of 2018. Wind Creek is currently undergoing construction and will be opening in September 2022.
History
The idea came to Tone Purzycki back in 2011 after he wrote a screenplay that developed into a live-streaming game. The game revolved around an actor trapped in a situation and the audience had to solve puzzles to figure out where he was trapped. The “Find Me Event” had more than 1,000 people playing over the course of several hours. After the success of several other streaming events, the idea of an escape room was born.
Location
Each location has different rooms from which to choose. Our Morristown location is home to Day of the Dead, Witch Hunt, and The Greatest Freakshow. In Bartonsville, you’ll find Cure Z, F5 Tornado Escape, Fear the Bogeyman, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, We’re All Mad Here, and Prisoner Z. In Red Bank we currently have Everest – our first 2 story escape room. Ripper of London is also available at this location. Our pirate themed games will soon be open at Wind Creek.
