Ice Skating
Whether you prefer to spend your time inside or outside during the chillier months, ice skating is always a fun experience! Of course, you better have great balance to participate in this tricky sport. In the Poconos, you can find a range of indoor and outdoor locations, but here are the main highlights of each.
Outdoor Skating
Definitely the more dangerous of the two, it’s important to be aware of all safety precautions before you lace up and hit the ice. However, there are definitely more scenic visuals available when skating out in nature.
Indoor Skating
Ice skating at an indoor rink is overall the safer choice, as the conditions are constantly controlled. Plus, it’s much easier to take breaks and escape to the warm indoors and enjoy refreshments.
Snowmobiling
Another fun way to get some speed in a winter landscape. You’ll get to explore miles of trails along forests, streams, and fields. Explore terrain that’s otherwise inaccessible, while having a whole bunch of fun. We recommend Pocono Outdoor Adventure for planning your experience.
Go to a Brewery
Dog Sled
Who doesn’t love dogs? Who wouldn’t want a winter activity that involves them? So long as there’s sufficient snow on the ground, try going for a dog sled ride! Bundle up in blankets and prepare for a trek across natural landscapes, while being pulled by a team of well trained dogs. This unusual experience is one everyone should experience at least once in their life. Plus, with Arctic Paws Dog Sled Tours, they teach you how to mush so you get to control your own adventure!
Ice Fishing
Another unique winter activity to try is ice fishing. Make sure you follow all safety rules and regulations, if you choose this route, though. Ice fishing is quite the satisfying way to bring home dinner! Take to a sufficiently frozen lake, cast out, and wait ’til one bites! In the Poconos, you can expect to catch largemouth bass, perch, pickerel, and more when you fish on the frozen lakes.

History
The idea came to Tone Purzycki back in 2011 after he wrote a screenplay that developed into a live-streaming game. The game revolved around an actor trapped in a situation and the audience had to solve puzzles to figure out where he was trapped. The “Find Me Event” had more than 1,000 people playing over the course of several hours. After the success of several other streaming events, the idea of an escape room was born.
Location
Each location has different rooms from which to choose. Our Morristown location is home to Day of the Dead, Witch Hunt, and The Greatest Freakshow. In Bartonsville, you’ll find Cure Z, F5 Tornado Escape, Fear the Bogeyman, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, We’re All Mad Here, and Prisoner Z.
